Recreation is an important part of healthy living; however, due to busy schedules and many obligations, we often forget to make time to do something enjoyable. At Eggleston Services, we offer participants the opportunity to relax and have fun at Civitan Acres.  Since 1999, Eggleston Services has been providing an array of services at Civitan Acres.  Located in Chesapeake, VA on 14-acres, Civitan Acres provides vacation opportunities and a year-round wellness program for adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.

Our Wellness Program is CARF accredited. We provide day support services for individuals who want a year-round program supporting them in activities that help develop and balance their physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual well-being.  Focus is based on the individuals’ wants and needs, as well as positive supports which allow them to be valuable members of their community.

Our Leisure Services program offers vacation opportunities for adults with various disabilities. As of now, day-only or overnight opportunities are offered during the summer months. Participants can enjoy on-site swimming, sports fields, accessible playground facilities, and many community outings.  Everyone has the opportunity to relax and enjoy themselves in a positive and therapeutic environment. No matter what your leisure needs, Civitan Acres is sure to have something for you!
